In 2024 our church leadership undertook a period of discernment around the question: What is God calling us into in the season ahead of us? What resulted was a three-tiered model of how Bluewater Church could organize itself in the present and for growth in the future as new faces join the Bluewater family and discover Jesus.

On Ramps are places where people can encounter us - and Jesus through us - for the first time. These are events based around the following principles:
1. Seeing a need.
2. Making an invitation.
3. Meeting a need.
4. Creating new opportunities to share the ways of Jesus.
-
These are spaces - such as Sunday mornings - when we focus on four things.
1. We worship.
2. We learn deeply from Scripture in a way that speaks directly to Bluewater Church.
3. We practice generosity as an act of worship and as a way to take care of practical needs.
4. We serve using our practical and spiritual gifts to help one another.

To prepare for travel on open waters, a boat needs a safe mooring. Humans also have the same need. Our hope at Bluewater is for every person to be moored in a small group community focused on learning the Jesus way of life, living it out together, and loving God, each other, and the world. Transformation is the goal, and healthy community is the context.
In the fall of 2024 our church family was invited into the brainstorming process. What potential events and programs could we offer to help us achieve our mission in Kincardine? The following concepts are the result of our leadership and church family working together to dream into our future.
As you explore these concepts, we encourage you to pray this prayer: God, is your Spirit nudging me towards something? If you feel that is the case, please tap the “Tell Me More” button. We’ll invite you into a conversation and pray along with you about what part of Bluewater’s mission God might be calling you into.
ON RAMP CONCEPTS…
Mental Health Workshops
In a similar format to our Anxiety Workshop (January, 2025), but on other mental health related topics. We may also run our Anxiety Workshop again for a second time.
Personal Finance Workshop
In a similar format to our Anxiety Workshop, but on the topic of personal finances.
Book Clubs
Book clubs that we’ve already done have been on the books “The Upside Down Apocalypse” (theology) and “Try Softer” (Mental Health). We could explore any number of topics around these, and other, helpful themes.
Coffee House
A coffee house style fundraiser to benefit Drop-In at the Bridge. An easy invite for anyone you know who much not ordinarily try out a church event but who would enjoy a beverage and the chance to support a good cause.
Refuge
A place for people to come and take a break from all talk of the news and politics. A time to focus on some guided conversation on things that bring us peace and joy. Guided prayer time.
GATHERINGS CONCEPTS…
Supper & Stories
We gather around a simple meal, then share a short story from the life of Jesus that folks can apply to their own lives.
BP Workers Gathering
A gathering for Bruce Power workers who are often here in Kincardine away from their families and, perhaps, their home churches.
Family Worship
A family-friendly time of worship. What if we transformed our main room into a space where kids could play? What if we could design an experience of worship and learning that would work for kids and parents?
MOORINGS CONCEPTS…
New Mixed Mooring
Looking ahead to fall 2025, we want to make sure we have space for new people to experience a Mooring. Is God nudging you in the direction of helping to lead?
Young Adults Mooring
We have a dream of hosting a summer Young Adult Mooring, ages 15-late 20’s. This is an opportunity for us to connect with post-secondary students who are home for the summer.
