And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

WHY MOORINGS?

moor, verb: “make fast (a boat) by attaching it by cable or rope to the shore or to an anchor”

To prepare for travel on open waters, a boat needs a safe mooring. Humans also have the same need. Our hope at Bluewater is for every person to be moored in a small group community focused on learning the Jesus way of life, living it out together, and loving God, each other, and the world with radical grace. Transformation is the goal, and healthy community is the context.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

Bluewater Moorings are Jesus-centered, grace-first, groups where everyone is welcome. Moorings gather weekly to pray, connect, encourage, study, and impact the local community through acts of service. We believe that family-like community is the most effective way to mobilize the Church to grow in depth and breadth. Leaders and co-leaders receive ongoing training to facilitate gatherings and offer pastoral care to members. Moorings are designed to grow and multiply each year, thereby expanding the Kingdom network along the shores of Lake Huron.
